The Mobile Friendly Google Update
Tomorrow, Tuesday, April 21, Google is making a major update to its mobile search algorithm that will change the order in which websites are ranked when users search for something from their phone or tablet. As your business partner we wanted to make you aware of this change so you can stay ahead of your competition.
The Google algorithm will favor mobile-friendly websites, ranking them higher in their search listings. Websites that aren't mobile-friendly will get demoted. This is especially important to medical practices that rely heavily on a web presence for prospective patients.
Google announced these changes in their search algorithm back in February and the update is expected to cause a major ranking shake-up. Recent statistics show that 60% of online traffic now comes from mobile devices and that figure is growing fast!
Your practice depends on people finding you through localized search — like, if someone typed "dermatologist south Florida," into Google on their phone — you may see a decrease in foot traffic as a result of this update if you haven’t had your website optimized for mobile.

Contact your website developer if your site is not optimized for the new Google update and have them update the site and good luck!
