Paid Time Off (PTO)
NCG Medical provides Paid Time Off (PTO) to eligible employees. PTO can be used for vacation, illness, injury, or personal business, combining traditional vacation and sick leave plans into one flexible policy.
Eligibility
- Regular full-time employees
Accrual Schedule
- Up to 5 years of service: 16 days/year (10.67 hours/month)
- After 5 years of service: 21 days/year (14 hours/month)
Benefit Year A benefit year begins on your hire date and may be extended for certain leaves of absence (excluding military leave).
PTO Usage
- PTO can be taken in increments of less than a day.
- For unscheduled absences, notify your supervisor as early as possible.
- For planned absences longer than 2 days, provide at least two weeks’ notice and submit requests via Bamboo for approval.
PTO Payout and Rollover PTO is paid at the base rate and excludes bonuses or other differentials.
Rollover or Buy-Back Option At the end of the benefit year, employees have two options:
- Roll Over: Carry over up to 5 unused PTO days to the next benefit year.
- Buy-Back: Request a buy-back of up to 5 unused PTO days.
Process for PTO Buy-Back To request a PTO buy-back:
- Submit a formal request by email to accounting 30 days in advance of the anniversary date.
- The buy-back will be paid at your current base rate.
If you do not request the buy-back, up to 5 unused PTO days will automatically roll over to the next benefit year. Any additional unused PTO beyond the 5-day rollover limit will be forfeited.
